Description
Giorgio Benecchi
The spools designed by Giorgio Benecchi have a side capsule for thread locking, in different colors according to the family of yarns.
Also the edges of the spool are micro-knurled to allow a controlled release of the thread with the spooler. Inside the bobbin, the shape of the points of contact with the spooler pliers is designed to obtain the best friction.
The Multilinear Fiber Yarns
The yarns of this family have the characteristic of flattening when wound on the hook, distributing their volume on a flat section; in fact, they can be easily used even by the less experienced tyer who can correct at any time the small inaccuracies of the tying.
These threads do not change color when wet and are used for tying flies such as spiders, small nymphs, and wet flies in general.
Examples of these multi-fiber yarns are Fine, Ultrafine, Superfine, and Polyfloss.
Twisted Yarns
This family of high tensile strength yarns deserves special attention because the twisting of the microfibers into 2 or 3 strands, gives the thread a round section that maintains the shape in the tying of the flies;
This type of yarn is preferable in the case of tying dubbing of fur, feathers or synthetic materials. Examples of these twisted yarns are Strong Fine, Strong Medium, and Strong Super.
