The River Salt Jacket is the most robust and most durable fishing jacket, made of technical fabric for H2No™ Performance Standard 4-layer waders, and it is waterproof and breathable.
This fishing jacket withstands rain, wind, and salt water splashes without any problems and is perfect for intensive use. Made from ultra-resistant 207 g/m² 4-layer H2No™ Performance Standard fabric with a waterproof, breathable barrier and DWR (durable water repellent) treatment.
The corrosion-resistant and waterproof YKK® Vislon® Aquaguard® front zip, together with adjustable watertight cuffs, protects against precipitation and gusts of wind. The two large front pockets can hold the fly boxes, and they are equipped with coated, water-repellent zips;
Besides, the two cozy hand warmer pockets are zipped. The yo-yo accessory holder on the left chest helps keep small equipment at hand. The hood is easily adjustable.
Finally, the Patagonia River Salt jacket is the medium-length fishing jacket with a 6.3 cm lower hem than the SST.
Materials and Quality
external fabric: 4 layers H2No™ Performance Standard of 100% 207 g/m² microfiber, with waterproof and breathable barrier with DWR treatment (durable water repellent).
DWR (durable water-repellent) treatment applied to fabrics protects from snow and light rain and reduces drying time. When used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR treatment prevents the outer fabric from becoming saturated, which allows the breathable barrier to doing its job.
Patagonia has developed the innovative 4-layer fabric used for our waders to increase breathability, facilitating perspiration of sweat to the outside, increasing resistance to abrasion, and reducing the weight of the fabric.
